Lesson 1 |
This is an interdisciplinary lesson that includes a history lesson combined with a writing lesson. Students are put in to groups and prompted discussion questions with artifacts. After a class-wide discussion, students will create a claim about child labor or child labor laws and draw on that claim by using evidence. Students will write a paragraph with their claim and evidence.

Lesson 2 |
This lesson is about the inventions of the Industrial Revolution. The class is separated into five groups and given an article to analyze along with a worksheet to complete. The students will then create an Infographic to share what they learned using the following website: https://piktochart.com/.

Lesson 3 |
This lesson addresses global warming since the Industrial Revolution. Students will learn about the greenhouse effect through an informative video and prompted to analyze graphs of the carbon dioxide emissions since the Industrial Revolution. Students are then put in groups to read articles and answer questions that promote higher level thinking.
